I came to Apopka for the 5-day multi engine course. I am really glad I did. Their setup is really nice. Good atmosphere and they get right to business which is my style- no waisting time. My instructor was Jayce Stendback, who is super squared away. He helped me out a lot- especially for someone like me who can’t do a steep turn to save his life. He spent quite a bit more time with me for the ground portion that I don’t think he had to do which was great. They have a great thing going with the examiner as well, he is readily available for checkrides on Friday. The man behind the scenes is Owen.. this guy is top notch and will give you more than enough info when you give them a call and he will set you up with whatever you need. The Apopka location is perfect-it has a small runway that rides like a Roller coaster, they let me come and rent from them even after the check-ride was finished with no issues, and everyone is super friendly. Word of advice is to ask for Jayce when you sign up for the 5 day multi-engine course- he looks 12 years old but he is an amazing instructor with plenty of knowledge even for us older folks. Thanks D&J for the fun experience.

Recently finished the accelerated Commercial Multi add on course and I can’t say enough great things about this place. Organized and thorough when it comes to their training which is everything you would hope to experience. I had Jayce as my MEI and he was great, thorough, patient and a great instructor overall. I’ve had many friends come here as well and have had similar great experiences. Also FYI preflighting in the shade is a game changer especially in the summer.

training facts vs. fiction

Keeping It Real

The aviation training industry is filled with misleading marketing and unrealistic promises designed to get you in the door. From schools advertising impossible minimum-time completion to claims that all training programs are the same, misinformation is everywhere.

As a family-owned flight school with decades of experience, we believe you deserve honest, transparent information to make the best decisions about your aviation career.

Minimum Time

Schools advertise private pilot licenses in 40 hours or commercial ratings at FAA minimums. The reality? We don't know anyone who's passed in minimum time. We price based on realistic industry averages, not fantasy numbers.

Part 141 vs Part 61

Airlines don't care whether your training was Part 141 or Part 61. What matters is training quality, flight experience, and pilot competency. Choose based on instruction quality, not regulatory structure.

Aircraft and Equipment

Not all training aircraft are the same. Modern avionics, glass cockpit displays, and well-maintained aircraft prepare you for contemporary aviation careers and safer operations.

Checkride Scheduling

Most schools leave you on your own to find and schedule checkrides with Designated Pilot Examiners (DPEs). Our established DPE relationships help streamline the scheduling process.
